Issuing the Certificate of Non-Impediment (CNI)
Karena tidak berstatus Konsulat Diplomatik, maka Konsul Jenderal Lithuania di Indonesia tidak berwenang mengeluarkan CNI. Oleh karena itu disarankan agar :
Due to the status of the Diplomatic Consulate, the Honorary Consul General of Lithuania to Indonesia is not authorized to issue CNI. Therefore we recommended:
Marriage
Bila calon pengantin sudah melengkapi persyaratan untuk menikah dan memiliki CNI tersebut, maka dapat melangsungkan pernikahannya di Gereja atau Mesjid, dengan disaksikan oleh Pejabat Kantor Catatan Sipil, yang kemudian akan menerbitkan Surat Pernikahan mereka (Certificate of Marriage), yang ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris.
If the prospective spouse have completed the requirements for marriage and have the CNI, then they can perform their marriage in a Church or Mosque, witnessed by a Civil Registry Office Official, who will then issue their Certificate of Marriage, written in Indonesian and English.
After marriage
Buku nikah atau akta perkawinan ini juga perlu di legalisir oleh Pejabat yang berwenang di Lithuania, agar secara hukum, pernikahan mereka diakui di Lithuania.
Untuk itu Certificate of Marriage perlu di”acknowledge” (bila diperlukan) oleh Konsul Jenderal Lithuania di Indonesia (sebagai saksi), hal mana dapat dilakukan di halaman belakang Certificate of marriage tersebut, atau diatas soft-copynya saja (yang akan merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari surat aslinya), dan perlu apostille juga oleh Kementerian Hukum dan HAM.
The marriage book or marriage certificate also needs to be legalized by an Authorized Officer in Lithuania, so that their marriage is legally recognised in Lithuania.
The Certificate of Marriage needs to be acknowledged (if required) by the Consul General of Lithuania in Indonesia (as a witness), which can be done on the back page of the Certificate of marriage, or on the soft-copy only (which will form an integral part of the original), and needs to be apostilled by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

- Pada prinsipnya Calon Mempelai Pria (CMP) dan Calon Mempelai Wanita (CMW) harus berstatus “memenuhi syarat” untuk melakukan pernikahan.
- Both candidate prospective spouse must be “eligible” to conduct a wedding.
- Untuk Calon Mempelai Pria (CMP) atau Calon Mempelai Wanita (CMW) yang berwarga negara asing (dhi. Lithuania), maka ia harus memiliki Certificate of “Marital Status” di negaranya, yang menunjukkan bahwa yang bersangkutan “eligible”/tidak ada masalah untuk melakukan pernikahan. Karena yang bersangkutan (CMW/CMP) akan melakukan pernikahan campur dengan WNI, maka berdasarkan Surat “Marital Status” tersebut, Konsulat Jenderal Lithuania di Indonesia akan “acknowledge” (bila dibutuhkan) “Certificate of Non-Impediment” (CNI) tersebut.
- For the prospective spouse who is a foreign national (i.e. Lithuania), he/she must have a certificate of "Marital Status" in his/her country, which shows that he/she is "eligible" and has no problem to perform the marriage. As the prospective spouse will have a mixed marriage with an Indonesian citizen, based on the "Certificate of Marital Status", the Consulate General of Lithuania in Indonesia will "acknowledge" (if necessary) the "Certificate of Non-Impediment" (CNI).
- Bila Calon Mempelai Pria (CMP) atau Calon Mempelai Wanita (CMP) adalah WNI, maka Surat Keterangan Akan Menikah diurus seperti biasanya, yaitu melalui proses RT/RW/Kelurahan dan selanjutnya :

- If the prospective spouse is an Indonesian citizen, the "Certificate of Marriage" will be processed through RT/RW/Kelurahan . Indonesian marriage law states that a marriage is legitimate if it is performed according to the regulations of the religious beliefs of the husband and wife. Because religious law applies, requirements vary.

- CNI dapat diperoleh di Kedutaan Republik Lithuania di Singapore atau bila calon mempelai masih berada di Lithuania, sebelum berangkat ke Indonesia untuk melangsungkan pernikahannya, bisa mendapatkan CNI langsung dari Kementerian Luar Negeri yang berada di Vilnius, Lithuania. CNI wajib dalam bahasa Inggris (bila diterjemahkan, maka harus dilakukan oleh Notaris resmi)
- Bila dibutuhkan "acknowledgement" (tanda tangan dan cap) dari Konsul Jenderal Lithuania di Indonesia di CNI tersebut, kami akan melakukan diatas halaman belakang CNI, atau di atas softcopynya (yang akan merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari surat aslinya) dengan biaya 30 Euro/dokumen (14 hari kerja)

- The CNI can be obtained at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Singapore or if the bride and groom are still in Lithuania, before traveling to Indonesia for the wedding, they can obtain the CNI directly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vilnius, Lithuania. The CNI must be in English (if translated, it must be done by an authorized Notary).
- If an "acknowledgement" (signature and stamp) of the Consul General of Lithuania in Indonesia is required on the CNI, we will do this on the back page of the CNI, or on the softcopy (which will be an integral part of the original letter) at a cost of 30 Euro /document (14 working days).
