The Government of Lithuania has updated its immigration process for workers. Previously, workers needed to apply for a National Visa D. This has been replaced by the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) application.

The application process for a worker's Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) requires both the employer and the employee to take specific actions. Initially, the employer must take the initiative by visiting the Migration Department to arrange the necessary contract and work permit.
